Many children are being asked to carry on their learning at home again this term, so we have reviewed and updated our web information to support you. It’s based on new Department for Education guidance and the different circumstances we find ourselves in during this lock down, compared to others.
We’ve revised and updated some of our Questions and Answers from last year’s lock downs and added them to website. They cover questions about remote learning, SEND support in school and at home, mediations and tribunals and who can be in school.
Our children and young people’s workers, Anna and Maria, are working with and supporting children and young people with SEND. They can support in all kinds of ways – from helping a child or young person get their views across to professionals, to understanding their rights, to developing the confidence to speak up. Anna and Maria have written some information for children and young people about the current lockdown, how we can help and how to get in touch.
We’ve updated our list of useful organisations and resources. There are links to home learning support resources, help for children and young people and support for parents during this challenging time.
We will add more in the coming days and weeks – if you’ve got a question you think many parents need answering, get in touch.
